it's ALL about the GEOMETRY

Badd & Company

The rear triangle:

All of our frames feature a short and rigid rear triangle.  This will make the frame more aggressive in manualing, as well giving an unparalleled snap out of the gate.  This will also shorten the overall length of the built bike.  Badd & Co. also highlights an aggressive head tube angle, which give more efficient steering and handling.

"The signature "ovalized-downtube" just screams rigid"

A lot of care was taken to save weight on this bike, through sound engineering. The signature “ovalized” downtube just screams rigid (think ceiling joists that are turned on end for rigidity).  The ovalized downtube also creates a larger surface area for welding, thus eliminating the need for gussets (though, our Pro XXXL frame does have a gusset…but that is also one VERY long frame!).  There is also not a gusset, or crosstube, on the chain stay tubes, as these rectangular tubes are designed for superior strength in and of themselves.

In the end, what you are getting is a frame that is built for the enhancement of the skilled rider. Turning on a dime, superb transfer of power to the rear wheel, ease of manualing and stiffness to withstand that initial gate snap without unnecessary flex.

For our smaller riders on the Nano, up to the Expert, they will find that only the essential tubing is present to maintain a lightweight, yet quite solid, frame. Larger frames add the necessary bracing to accommodate the growing rider, yet still keep the frame weight down.

The Expert XL frame is a fantastic hybrid of our smaller frames, along with some key components of our Pro style frames.

Our Pro style frames feature a short and extremely rigid rear triangle that will handle every bit of torque that the rider can dish out, without any unnecessary flex.

Comfort Vs. Speed

This geometry is not designed to be “comfy”, it is designed for one thing only…to be FAST!  If you want to gain an upper hand on the track, you need an aggressive race frame geometry.  Badd & Co. IS that frame.
